What If We Really Do Have More Than One Soul Mate?

“A person has multiple soul mates — it’d be impossible not to — meant to come in and out of his or her life over the years; these soul mates can be both romantic and platonic. Each soul mate serves a purpose, and once that purpose is served, the two go their separate ways, just a brief intersection on the infinite plane of life.” LOVE THIS.

Thought Catalog

According to Greek mythology, humans were originally created with four arms, four legs and a head with two faces. However, fearing their powers, Zeus split them into two separate beings, leaving them to spend the rest of their lives in search of each other.

The red string of fate, an idea originating from Chinese legend, was tied around the ankles of those that are destined to meet one another. The two people connected by this red thread are destined lovers — the cord may stretch or tangle, but it will never break.

According to Jewish scriptures, each person has been given a romantic partner — called a bashert, a lifelong connection. It is said that 40 days before a man is born, God calls out the name of man’s soul mate; it’s a match literally made in heaven.

The concept of a soul mate is not a new one, clearly. Nearly…

Oh Seattle

Where have you gone?

I spent 10 years of my life in this rainy city. I drank my first coffee here, I smoked my first joint here and I met my best friend here. Seattle is and always will be close to my heart. There are so many memories from this city, good and bad, that stack up into piles inside my head. Growing up and becoming a teenager in Seattle had its ups and downs. Drugs were always available and the wrong crowd was always around. However, you can feel the music, art and diversity in every nook and cranny of Seattle. Unfortunately I wasn’t strong enough to see that at the time and age and let myself sink into the grunge riddled parts of Seattle instead.

This time-lapse makes me want to buy a one way ticket right back to Seattle and start all over again.

Lightning in a Bottle Festival

There were so many captivating moments at Lightning in a Bottle. The long weekend had been anticipated for a year and it was hard to recognize the last 4 days weren’t a dream . I was searching for words on the drive back to Los Angeles. The music was breathtaking, the energy was freeing and the people were kind. Here is the official trailer if you aren’t sure what LIB is (:

I hope to go to LIB every year in the future. And Burning Man, and every other burner festival out there! The experience grew on me (hence the dread lock in the back of the head) in more ways than I thought. I found myself talking, sharing, dancing, eating and drinking with strangers. We never had phones, but always found each other again by miracle in the gigantic dried up lake that is now dust. There were hammocks in trees, cooking classes and moroccan style tea tents. The music, yoga, meditations, speakers and vendors never stopped and we said goodbye to the Sun every night. It was truly a celebration of life.

I hope many of you get to experience Lightning in a Bottle ❤

HLSK Australia

Why does Australia seem to have the prettiest things?! I come across so many amazing clothing and jewelry websites that are .au and it only makes me more envious of Aussies!

Check out HLSK. Hannah Stewart has created some beautiful and unique pieces that I die for! Unfortunately they are on the pricier side but so worth it.. All handmade from Australian materials and stones.

I’m obsessed with chokers, and these are gorgeous.

This is my favorite album right now. The Polish Ambassador and his wife, Ayla Nereo have created such a beautiful sound. I saw their set at the Lighting in a Bottle festival here in California and it was an unforgettable experience. Even though I didn’t manage to see half of the music, Wildlight was the best set at the festival in my opinion. They gave off such great energy. Nothing I have ever felt before at a live performance. They were the ultimate power couple, smiling and dancing in perfect rhythm.

I’d say I’m addicted to Wildlight… Sorry Lorde…

Give it a twirl.

Lorde Have No Mercy

You are killin’ it Lorde.

I’ve been listening to this album since the end of summer 2013.

It spoke to me since the first song. I cannot wait till her second album. She is my all time favorite.

I don’t care how mainstream she becomes.

P.S. Bravado and Buzzcut Season are my favorites… and she’s 17 years old.

Love This!!

With her cow ring and everything.

And of course…. Joseph Gordon Levitt… no description necessary.

Sometimes I Feel….

Plaid and Leather

I’ve Got To…. RUN AWAY…

Dear Lord, please forgive me for I have sinned (or at least that’s how I think you start a prayer) but I love New York City differently than any other love I have ever felt. Human or not. I was walking through Washington Square Park a couple days ago and I found myself tearing up from the overall vibe I felt in the park. I felt so much joy and inspiration that I felt overwhelmed.
Please draw me back in New York.
I love you.

Dear UAPD, I sincerely hate you…

I’ve been wanting to write an open letter to the University of Arizona Police Department for quite some time now. I actually wrote a draft a couple weeks ago after a couple glasses of wine. Revising is highly suggested…
Anyways, I myself have had a lot of conflict with the UAPD for many reasons and I will share my letter with you soon.

Until then here is a video of a Tucson police officer slamming this girl really f***ing hard into a bench.

They really don’t care about hurting women. I myself was arrested once and was released with vain popping bruising from my stomach to my thigh.

Girl I feel for you!

Not cool 5-O.
